Marquee Madness

"We Couldn't Have Said It Better Ourselves!"

"We are writing you from the Freethought Capital of the World (not!)," write Roger and Mary Peach. "We were driving by a Methodist church in Wichita. The message on the sign was something that we couldn't believe so we drove home and got our camera (before it got changed back to whatever propaganda that it really was supposed to say). After we took the picture, we had to resist the urge to go into the church and tell them, 'We couldn't have said it better ourselves.'

"Roger has been trying for 25 years to get a 'Christian' to read Mistakes of Moses. He finally found a very devout Southern Baptist music minister who has agreed to take the challenge! Roger told him that this book could change his life. His reply was that he couldn't see how one book could possibly change his life! It was noted that the bible is one book but look what it has done to him."

Good News for Atheists

"This photo was taken in Chincoteague, Virginia," write Joseph F. Hackett, New Jersey, who has no quibble over this unusual message.
