DRIVING: (Hyatt overnight parking (valet-only, in&out privileges) is $48/night. (This is Chicago, kids!) Cheaper options include: Illinois Center Garage, 111 E Wacker Dr. , located just west of the Hyatt. From HWY 94, exit Ohio. Go right on Rush. Left on Illinois and right on Michigan. Left on Wacker. Enter on Wacker Drive. (Self-parking, no in&out, public underground garage), 2-12 hours $25; 18-24 hrs - $34. Park Millennium Garage, 211 N. Statson @ South Water Street, located just south of the Hyatt, enter on Stetson, no in&out privileges). 4-12 hrs: $24; 12-24 hrs: $28. East Monroe St. & Millennium Park Garages, lower Columbus at Monroe and Randolph. (Self-parking, no in&out privileges; prices may be higher on weekends during special events). Monroe Garage: 0-12 hours, $13; $20 for 24 hours. This is at least 5 blocks from hotel. From Hyatt, travel south on Michigan Avenue to Monroe Street and turn left on Columbus, and enter either East Monroe Street or Millennium Park Garages. Park as close as possible to Randolph, exit from the pedestrian stairs at Randolph. Millennium Garage is $12 for 12-24 hours. Taxis: Taxis are approximately $30-$40 one-way from either airport. Standard tipping in Chicago is 10%.
Shuttle: Airport Express will take you to & from Hyatt from either airport. Look for blue and white vans with red lettering. Catch Airport Express on the lower level baggage claim area at O’Hare. Runs daily every 15 minutes from 6:05 a.m.-7:45 p.m. One-way individual: $25. Round-trip individual: $46. Party of two is $18 each. Group fare (3 or more passengers traveling together to same destination) - $14 each. Children under 6 are free. Service for disabled is available if you reserve in advance at 888-284-3826. (Airport Express also serves Midway Airport. Catch at lower baggage claim area, roundtrip $36 individual.) To return from the hotel to either airport, please must call bellstand at least 2 hours prior to desired pickup time to ensure the bus stops at the Hyatt. Buses depart from 6:15 a.m.-8:15 p.m. every 30 minutes (15 and 45 minutes past the hour) from the hotel’s west tower door.
Train: The adventurous, who are traveling very light, could try the L-Train, $2 per person to and from O'Hare. Follow signs to C.T.A. below baggage claim area. Take the “L” to Clark/Lake stop, about 7 blocks from hotel. Catch cab, or walk east on Lake to Stetson Street, turn left on Stetson and walk 1 block to hotel. Not recommended if you have more than 1 bag; lots of escalators and turnstyles. (From Midway, take the Orange Line to State and Lake Streets, walk 1 block north to Wacker, take a right on Wacker and the hotel is about 3 blocks.)
From Amtrak: Union Station is 1 1/2 miles. A taxi to hotel is about $8. Greyhound terminal, 2 1/2 miles, taxi about $10.
