Where to Go at Monona Terrace

After entering the main entrance, pedestrians ride the elevator down one flight or walk down the stairs to the lobby level, where a "greeter" will orient you. If you get dropped off by our shuttle, you are at lobby level. Proceed to the back of the building (by lake view). Take the elevator (at left) to the lower level, or go down two flights on escalator (at your right) . FFRF registration tables will be set up by the lakeview windows across from Exhibit Hall A.

How to Get from The Concourse to Monona Terrace

Described by fans and detractors alike as "70 square miles surrounded by reality," Madison is usually a lovely spot in mid-October. The hotel is a short block from Wisconsin's pretty State Capitol and Concourse. Tour the impressive beaux arts State Capitol--with the largest dome by volume in the country. Early risers can check out the colorful Farmer's Market on the Capitol Square on Saturday morning. Nearby State Street--featuring shops, bookstores, restaurants and the internationally-noted Overture Center for the Arts--leads to the scenic campus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Lake Mendota. The south side of the Square takes visitors to Lake Monona and the Frank Lloyd Wright convention center, worth a peek for the view alone.
